Week-by-week pregnancy updates? Oh sure, I could give you the standard rundown: “Week 8, your baby is the size of a gummy bear and your uterus is expanding.”But that’s boring.Let’s talk about the real experience. The unfiltered, Google-overloaded, TikTok-influenced descent into pregnant madness.

Let me set the scene:

I am a nurse. A trained medical professional. Someone who tells actual human patients not to Google their symptoms because it will always lead to a WebMD diagnosis of "imminent death."

And yet... I have Googled “can a baby survive if I only eat Cheez-Its for two days” more than once. I have downloaded four pregnancy tracking apps that give wildly conflicting information. One says my baby is a lemon, the other says a hamster. Neither helps me understand why I cried over a paper towel commercial.

Oh, and TikTok? Let’s not even talk about TikTok. I trusted a girl with lip liner and a ring light who swore clear skin = girl and no morning sickness = boy. I believed her. I believed her like she was a board-certified OB-GYN, even though she also recommended rubbing Vicks on your feet for better sleep.

Shame on me. But also? I regret nothing. Because doctors’ appointments are 47 years apart and I need answers now.

If you're newly pregnant, Googling things like “is it normal to cry during toothpaste commercials,” this blog is for you.

You’re not alone. You’re just pregnant and spiraling beautifully

So what’s this blog?

It’s not medical advice. It’s not even good advice. It’s just one first-time mom’s emotionally unstable week-by-week breakdown of what my experience was growing as a human while simultaneously questioning my own sanity.

Each week will come with:

  • Is this normal or am I just losing it: Share a moment from your week that made you question your entire existence—emotionally, physically, or mentally.

  • Things no one warned me about (but should've) : talk about post partnum surprise, pregnancy plot twist, mom guilt curveballs that no one put in the manual no one has ever got

  • The one thing getting me through the week: highlight your lifeline this week - whether its a person, product, snack, song, shower cry, or 4 minutes of silence

  • Unsolicited advice hall of fame: share the funniest, weirdest or most rage-inducing piece of advice you have received becoming a parent

  • Today i am grateful,,, and also kinda loosing my sh*t: celebrate a tiny win while also acknowledging the chaos because we can hold both
