Welcome to the Spiral: A Blog for the Moms Who Say “WTF” Daily

Hi. I’m three weeks into this whole “being a mom” thing and I can confidently say:What. The. Fuck.
Pregnancy? A fever dream.Labor? A blurry combination of fluids, panic, and primal noises.Postpartum? A beautiful nightmare where you’re both crying over how perfect your baby is… and also because your nipple touched cold air.
And somehow, through this entire miracle of life, I relied on:
Google (a mistake)
TikTok girlies with great lighting (a bigger mistake)
My own wishful thinking that “this is probably normal” (chaotic neutral)
And other moms who gave me a lifeline when I felt like I was slowly losing my mind.
So I thought—why not make a space for all of that to live in one place?
This is not your typical mom blog.
This is for the moms who:
Say “WTF” 16–22 times before noon
Cry because their baby smiled and because they won’t sleep
Whisper “I just want a bottle of wine” while heating up a bottle of formula
Love their baby so much it physically hurts—and still say out loud “this sucks” sometimes
This blog is for the unhinged, the exhausted, the joyful, the hormonal, the incredibly grateful but also low-key angry.
All voices are welcome here...
Unless you suck. Then shhh. This is not a place for judgment, unsolicited advice, or superiority complexes wrapped in Pinterest fonts. This is for:
New moms
Seasoned moms
Grandmas
Guardians
Bonus moms
Breastfeeders, bottle feeders, whatever-works feeders
People who have no idea what they’re doing and need someone else to say, “same.”
You’re not alone. You’re not broken. You’re just building a human from scratch using hormones, carbs, and the occasional breakdown.
It’s chaotic. It’s disgusting. It’s beautiful. It’s hilarious. And it’s yours.
So cry, rage, snack, repeat. And when you're done, come back here and tell me what ridiculous thing made you cry this week.
Solidarity forever, mama
